  • How much does a Sophia course cost?

    As a Sophia member, you don't pay for individual courses. Instead, you can take as many courses as you like during your membership period.

  • Are there additional fees, like books and materials?

    There are no course registration fees or additional fees for material, textbooks or eBooks. Everything is included as part of your membership.

  • When is payment due?

    Full payment is due at time of purchase.

  • Will my 1-month, 4-month or 12-month plan automatically renew?

    Yes, your membership will automatically renew and you will be billed for the new membership period at the time of renewal.

  • Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

    To upgrade your 1-month or 4-month Subscription Membership from your Sophia account: (1) go to "Profile", (2) click "Change" under "Membership", and (3) select the plan you'd like to upgrade to. Any remaining days in your current membership period will be automatically credited toward the upgrade. We cannot apply past membership payments to membership upgrades. You may not downgrade your Subscription Membership, but you may cancel your membership at any time.

  • Are you limited to two courses each month?

    You can take as many courses as you'd like each month and are allowed to be active in two courses at the same time.

  • Is there a time commitment?

    With Sophia, you determine your own level of time commitment. You can move through coursework quickly or slow down your pace.

  • How do I cancel?

    You may cancel at any time by going into your Profile and under Membership clicking Change, then clicking the Cancel Membership option.

  • What is your 30-day money back guarantee?

    If within 30 days of payment you are not satisfied and in that time period no courses have been completed and certified, you can cancel your membership by going into your Profile and under Membership clicking Change, then clicking the Cancel Membership option. You can request a refund by contacting Learner Support by email, phone, or chat.
