Curriculum

The Doctor Reliability Academy installs and validates a chairside operating standard that makes doctor performance predictable, repeatable, and scalable—without relying on personality, “good days,” or constant team rescue. Instead of attendance-based training, doctors move through pass/fail reliability gates covering four-handed flow, isolation and field control, digital workflow consistency, documentation defensibility, schedule protection, and (when needed) a structured 30/60/90 associate ramp. Each module produces evidence artifacts (rubrics, checklists, audits, timestamps, de-identified documentation samples) so readiness is provable and drift can be prevented. The outcome is fewer rescues and rework events, faster time-to-independence, and a practice that runs at a stable pace—even as volume increases or staffing changes.

What You Get

  • Binary pass/fail validation (not attendance-based training)
  • Evidence artifacts (checklists, audits, timestamps, photo/video where appropriate)
  • KPI-aligned outcomes tied to throughput, rework reduction, and schedule stability

Ideal for: owners, associates, new grads, and multi-provider practices that want consistent pace without doctor rescue.

DRA-00 — Doctor Reliability Baseline & Standards Adoption

This module establishes the foundation for the entire Doctor Reliability Academy by standardizing what “good” means before any live validation begins. Doctors complete a focused standards adoption sequence that aligns decision rules (flow, isolation choices, scan QC thresholds, documentation completeness) and identifies the specific failure domains driving rescue, rework, and schedule drift in their practice. The output is a clear baseline, a prioritized DRA path, and a verified readiness profile—so the rest of the academy is implementation, not orientation.

DRA-01 — Four-Handed Reliability: PASS Standard

This module installs the Clinical Edge PASS Standard for predictable four-handed dentistry—so the operatory runs on timing, sequencing, and clear roles instead of improvisation. Doctors learn how to direct flow with minimal prompts while assistants execute transfers, suction, retraction, and setup steps to a validated standard. The result is fewer chairside “rescues,” fewer stalls, and a repeatable pace that holds under pressure.

DRA-02 — Isolation & Field Control (Restorative Readiness)

Isolation failures are one of the fastest ways to create rework, remakes, and slow procedures. This module standardizes isolation decisions, setup, and assistant coordination so field control becomes consistent across providers and procedures. Doctors and teams validate isolation setup within time standards with zero break-in-protocol events—reducing contamination risk, redo triggers, and restorative variability.

DRA-03 — Digital Workflow Reliability (Scan-to-Lab Chain)

Digital dentistry breaks down when scanning quality and lab submission are inconsistent. This module hardens the scan-to-lab chain by installing scan quality gates, decision rules for rescan vs proceed, and a complete lab packet standard. You validate capture and submission so rescans, lab delays, and “missing info” back-and-forth stop disrupting production and delivery timelines.

DRA-04 — Documentation Defensibility (Clinical Notes + Attachments)

This module turns documentation into a defensible operating standard—clear, complete, and consistent across procedures and providers. Doctors validate chart note completeness (including required attachments) on consecutive cases using a rubric that eliminates ambiguity. The outcome is fewer claim delays/denials, fewer compliance gaps, and a practice that can prove what was done and why—fast.

DRA-05 — Schedule Protection for Doctors (Template Discipline)

Most schedule problems are engineered into the template—then amplified by daily exceptions. This module installs schedule protection rules that prevent template drift, preserve production blocks, and reduce overtime. Doctors and leadership build a protected template week, run it, and validate variance thresholds—creating a schedule system that holds even when the day gets chaotic.

DRA-06 — New-Associate Ramp: 30/60/90 Progression

This program replaces “figure it out over months” with a measured ramp to independence. New associates move through staged Day 30/60/90 gates tied to minimum competencies, speed standards, and reliability behaviors that prevent early-career failures. The result is faster time-to-independence, fewer remediation cycles, and more predictable performance across locations.

DRA-07 — Handoff Mastery: Hygiene-to-Doctor Exam Flow

Hygiene checks fail when the handoff is late, incomplete, or inconsistent—causing exam bottlenecks and schedule breakdown. This module installs a timed, evidence-complete handoff protocol so doctors receive the right information at the right moment, every time. You validate handoffs live using timestamps and a completeness checklist, improving exam efficiency and patient experience.

DRA-08 — Procedure Reliability Mini-Modules (Pick 3)

These targeted mini-modules harden the assistant-dependent steps that most often trigger slowdowns and rework in high-volume procedures. Choose three priorities (e.g., crown prep support, endo setup, extractions setup, aligner records) and validate “case-ready” setup standards with no missing-critical items. The result is smoother procedures, fewer interruptions, and consistent execution regardless of who’s on the schedule.
